In the early morning pick up at the hotel in Bangkok and drive along the Gulf Coast to the west. Stop at the salt fields of the province Samut Sakhon. Visit of the traditional floating market in Damnoen Saduak. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards explore the Erawan National Park with the impressive seven-tier waterfall. Drive to the historical Hellfire Pass where during World War II a railway line was built to Burma by prisoners of war. Continue the tour by long tail boat on the Kwai River along the virgin jungle to the floating hotel. Overnight at the unique raft hotel, surrounded by dense rainforest. After dinner enjoy a performance of traditional Mon dances.
After breakfast explore the nearby Mon Village. Return to the resort. Enjoy a swim in the Kwae Noi River. Boat ride back to the car. After visit the Sai Yok Noi Waterfall. Lunch at a local restaurant. Train ride on the famous Death Railway route to Kanchanaburi. Visit the historical railway bridge over the River Kwai. Drive to Ayutthaya, the former capital of Siam. Check in at the hotel. Afterwards explore the lively night market.
After breakfast explore the famous temple ruins of What Mahatat and Wat Yai Chaimongkon. Visit Wat Phanan Choeng with the huge sitting Buddha statue. Lunch at a local restaurant. Drive along rice fields and plantations to Singburi. Visit a local temple whose surrounding trees are home to giant bats. Continue to Uthai Thani. Cruise along the Sakae Krang River in an old rice barge. Discover the river and the traditional way of life. Drive to the resort and check-in. Dinner with a beautiful view over the lake.
After breakfast visit the morning market. Enjoy the beautiful view over the countryside from a nearby mountain temple. Drive to Hup Pa Tat valley, also known as Jurassic park. The valley is complete surrounded by high cliffs. It has a higher humidity than its surroundings, providing an abundant flora. On the way north stop for lunch at a local restaurant. In Phitsanulok visit Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, known as Wat Yai. The temple houses the statue of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, one of the most beautiful Buddha images in Thailand. Afterwards visit a nearby Buddha statue factory. Drive to Sukothai, Thailand’s first capital. Check-in at the hotel and discover the city.
After breakfast short drive to Sukhothai Historical Park. Explore the UNESCO world heritage site with its impressive temple complexes, palace buildings and Buddha sculptures. Continue direction north to Si Satchanalai, another ancient town from the Sukothai era. Lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the river. Afterwards drive to Lampang. Enjoy a horse carriage ride through the old town. Admire the Wat Si Chum temple with its carved teakwood pillars and ceilings. Afterwards visit the Elephant Conservation Centre. Ride on the back of an elephant and watch them doing forestry work. Drive to Chiang Mai to the airport, train station or hotel.
