In the early morning pick up at the hotel in Bangkok and drive along the Gulf Coast to the west. Stop at the salt fields of the province Samut Sakhon. Visit of the traditional floating market in Damnoen Saduak. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards explore the Erawan National Park with the impressive seven-tier waterfall. Drive to the historical Hellfire Pass where during World War II a railway line was built to Burma by prisoners of war. Continue the tour by long tail boat on the Kwai River along the virgin jungle to the floating hotel. Overnight at the unique raft hotel, surrounded by dense rainforest. After dinner enjoy a performance of traditional Mon dances.
After breakfast visit the nearby Mon Village. Elephant trek through the picturesque mountain landscape. Afterwards enjoy rafting on the river Kwae downstream. After breakfast in the hotel enjoy a boat ride to the beautiful Saiyok Yai Waterfall. Return by boat to the waiting car and visit the smaller, not less picturesque Sai Yok Noi Waterfall. Lunch at a local restaurant. Train ride on the famous Death Railway route to Kanchanaburi. Visit the historical railway bridge over the River Kwai. Drive to Ayutthaya, the former capital of Siam. Check in at the hotel. Afterwards explore the lively night market.
After breakfast in the hotel drive by long tail boat along the river around Ayutthaya. Visit the huge seated Buddha at Wat Phanang Choen. Continue to Wat Yai Chai-Mongkol with its large chedi. Lunch in a local restaurant at the riverside. Drive along rice fields and plantations to Singburi. Visit a local temple whose surrounding trees are home to giant bats. Continue to Uthai Thani. Cruise along the Sakae Krang River in an old rice barge. Discover the river and the traditional way of life. Drive to the resort and check-in. Dinner with a beautiful view over the lake.
After breakfast walk through the lively morning market in Uthai Thani. Visit the nearby Wat Ta Sung. It is one of Thailand’s largest meditation centers. The interior of the main temple hall is covered with mirrors. Drive to Hup Pa Tat valley, also known as Jurassic park. The valley is complete surrounded by high cliffs. It has a higher humidity than its surroundings, providing an abundant flora. On the way back visit a mountain temple. Enjoy the beautiful view over the idyllic countryside. Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to the resort. Walk or cycle around Koh Thepto Island and visit bamboo weavers and incense stick makers. Dinner at the resort.
After breakfast in the resort drive to Lopburi. Visit the ancient Khmer temple, home to hundreds of small monkeys. Continue to Khao Yai National Park and stop at a view point. Lunch at a local restaurant by the National Park’s visitor center. Afterwards a local ranger leads a trek along a small river surrounded by dense tropical vegetation. Chance to see some of the wildlife such as Great Hornbill birds, lizards and Gibbons. On the way you pass the Orchid Cliff Waterfall bounded by a large number of wild orchids. Visit Haew Suwat Waterfall. Drive and short walk to the 1,119 meter high Pha Deaw Dai plateau. Enjoy the panoramic view over nearby valleys and mountain ranges covered with evergreen forest. Drive on the winding road to an observation tower. Afterwards transfer to the resort with check in.
After breakfast in the resort drive back to the national park. Trekking with a local ranger through a remote part of the park. Stop at the 30 meter high cliffs of Pong Ta Long Waterfall. During the picnic you can overlook the dense vegetation of Khao Yai. After lunch follow the small river upstream to another hidden waterfall. Relax and swim in the clear water of the cascade and enjoy the tranquil jungle environment. Walk back to the waiting car and transfer to the resort. Late afternoon visit a nearby bat cave. Millions of bats leave the cave just before sunset and fly towards the national park in search of food. Afterwards return to the resort.
After breakfast relax at the resort and enjoy the fresh clean air. Early afternoon return to the airport or your hotel in Bangkok.
