Pick up at the train station, airport or hotel in Chiang Mai. Drive along beautiful mountain landscapes towards Pai. Stop and short hike through the forest to the 60 meters high Mork Fa Waterfall. The drive continues along picturesque rice fields to the Huai Nam Dang National Park. Short walk to the Pong Dueat hot springs, surrounded by dense jungle. The main attraction is the up to 2 meters high geyser. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards explore the Pai Canyon. Transfer to the hotel in Pai with check-in. Opportunity to relax in the private thermal pool at the hotel. In the evening visit the night market in the small town of Pai.
After breakfast drive through the fascinating mountain area of Mae Hong Son province. Stop at several viewpoints along the way. Explore the Tham Lod cave near the mountain village of Ban Soppong. Ride through some parts of the cave on a bamboo raft. Lunch at a local restaurant. The journey continues along the scenic mountain road. Visit Wat Chong Kham by the small lake in Mae Hong Son. The old temple was built by Burmese craftsmen and contains a large Buddha statue. Transfer to the hotel with check-in, followed by a dinner.
Breakfast at the hotel and afterwards drive to Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu. From the mountain temple you have a wonderful view over the city and countryside. Boat ride on the River Pai to the Paduang hill tribe village with the long neck women. Return by boat to the waiting car. Lunch at a local restaurant. Drive on the mountain road towards Mae Chaem. There are several stops to admire the scenery. Visit a mountain village and plantations. Chance to communicate with the locals. Transfer to the hotel and check-in.
After breakfast drive to the 2,565 meter high Doi Inthanon. It is Thailand's highest mountain and located at Doi Inthanon National Park. Enjoy the fantastic view from the mountain plateau. Visit of the royal pagodas. Lunch at a local restaurant. Walk to the Wachirathan waterfall. On the way back to Chiang Mai stop at the royal agricultural project. The hill tribes of the Karen and Hmong are taught in agriculture. The final drive leads to the airport, train station or hotel in Chiang Mai.
